Oklahoma City, OK — August 5, 2025 — Children’s Health Foundation (CHF), a non-profit organization leading the way in funding pediatric health research and clinical care in Oklahoma, has named Brandon Brooks as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, its Board of Directors announced.
Brooks brings a proven and versatile resume to CHF with more than 20 years of leadership experience in higher education and social services. His appointment comes as CHF looks to expand its mission and reach across all 77 Oklahoma counties. He brings a proven track record of organizational development, advancement, and mission-driven efforts.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to amplify CHF in its next chapter of mission-driven work to champion the critical healthcare needs of Oklahoma's children,” said Brooks. “My career has been rooted in creating access, support and empowerment for families to thrive.”
Most recently, Brooks served as Associate Vice President for External Affairs and Chief of Staff at Oklahoma City Community College since 2023.
Brooks also boasts a rich history with nonprofit organizations, having served as the Director of Development for Positive Tomorrows. He led the charge to help families experiencing homelessness break intergenerational cycles of poverty. He was also the Chief Executive Officer for the Center for Children and Families, where he stewarded relationships and partnerships providing behavioral health, family education and youth development services. Brooks entered the social service space after nearly fifteen years of service to the University of Oklahoma in various capacities.
Brooks sits on multiple boards of directors, including the YMCA as Secretary and Leadership Oklahoma City.
Originally from Houston, Brooks earned his bachelor’s degree in public affairs and administration from the University of Oklahoma in 2002. He and his wife Lynann Sterk-Brooks reside in Oklahoma City with their dog Whiskey.
Jeremiah Lane, who’s served CHF in numerous capacities over the last decade, including Interim Executive Director, will now assume the role of Chief Operating Officer.
"I am deeply grateful to our board of directors and dedicated staff for the trust and support they have shown me over the past seven months as I served in the role of Interim Executive Director,” said Lane. “It has been a privilege to lead an organization so deeply committed to advancing the health and well-being of children across Oklahoma. I am confident that Brandon will serve with distinction as our new Chief Executive Officer, bringing a renewed vision, strong leadership, and a strategic focus on growth and fundraising. As I transition into the role of Chief Operating Officer, I look forward to continuing to support our mission and help guide our team in delivering meaningful, lasting impact for the children and families we serve."
