MIRACLE NETWORK DANCE MARATHONS
Dance Marathon is a nationwide movement whose ultimate goal is raising funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH). Throughout the year students learn invaluable leadership and life skills while raising funds and interacting with Miracle Children and their families. The various events lead up to the final event, Dance Marathon, a 4-12 hour event where students stay on their feet through dancing, games and entertainment to celebrate the total raised for that year. Why stay on your feet for so long? It’s FTK (FOR THE KIDS)!
Oklahoma joined the movement in 1996 when the University of Oklahoma held their inaugural SOONERTHON. Since then, dance marathon programs have expanded to other universities including the University of Central Oklahoma, Oklahoma City University, Oklahoma State University and University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. It is our hope that dance marathon programs are instilled in every university in the state.
