OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – [February 17, 2026] Children’s Health Foundation (CHF) is pleased to announce a $5,000 grant from the Theresa Foundation. The gift will support Sooner SUCCESS Sibling Camp, a recreation-based program serving children with disabilities and their families.
Sooner SUCCESS Sibling Camp is designed to support the entire family system. While siblings participate in age-appropriate recreational activities that build confidence, resilience, and peer connection, children with disabilities engage in inclusive programming tailored to their needs. At the same time, parents and caregivers receive much-needed time to rest and recharge, knowing their children are safe, supported, and engaged.
Sibling Camp addresses a critical but often overlooked need. Siblings of children with special healthcare needs frequently take on caregiving roles and emotional responsibilities at a young age. By creating space for connection, validation, and fun, the program strengthens family bonds and promotes long-term wellbeing for siblings, children with disabilities, and caregivers alike.
“The Theresa Foundation’s support reflects a deep commitment to nurturing each child’s unique abilities and ensuring access to meaningful, inclusive experiences,” said Brandon Brooks, CHF’s CEO. “This investment allows Sooner SUCCESS to expand access to Sibling Camp and reach more Oklahoma families who benefit from this inclusive program.”
Sooner SUCCESS is a statewide program that connects families of children with special healthcare needs to resources, training, and community supports. Sibling Camp is one of several initiatives designed to reduce caregiver stress, promote resilience, and strengthen natural support networks for families across Oklahoma.
