OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — October 30, 2025 — Children’s Health Foundation (CHF) is honored to announce a $50,000 pledge from the Stanton L. Young Foundation to the Barbara Bonner, Ph.D. Endowed Fund on Child Abuse and Neglect.
The endowment supports the Interdisciplinary Training Program on Child Abuse and Neglect (ITP), created by Dr. Barbara Bonner in 1987 at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. The ITP trains professionals across disciplines to identify and prevent child abuse and neglect. To date, more than 630 graduates have gone on to serve children and families across Oklahoma, the nation, and abroad.
A recent evaluation found that program graduates significantly improved their knowledge, collaboration, and influence in the field. The Foundation’s gift will help ensure the program’s long-term sustainability and continued impact.
“Mr. Young’s generosity and vision continue to improve the health and safety of Oklahoma’s children,” said Brandon Brooks, CHF Chief Executive Officer. “We are deeply grateful for this partnership and lasting investment.”
