Keaton Kindness foundation donates $50,000 to Pediatric cancer research

Keaton’s Kindness Foundation was established by Keaton Barrón and his parents, Luke and Holly. This foundation was created by a positive, mature, sweet, witty, and kind boy who tragically passed away at the age of eight after a long battle with leukemia. In honor of Keaton, Keaton’s Kindness Foundation now works to spread kindness around the world through random acts of kindness with a special emphasis on bringing joy and comfort to pediatric cancer patients and their families. Including today's gift of $50,000, the foundation has raised more than $130,000 for Children’s Hospital Foundation, to benefit the Jimmy Everest Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.

“We continue to be amazed with our sweet Keaton’s mission and his impact on others,” said Holly Barron. “Our hope for this donation, is that it will fund research that will allow children at Children’s Hospital to stay in Oklahoma near their families and the medical staff they love. Our ultimate goal is to find a cure, so that no family has to lose a precious son or daughter to childhood cancer.”

We serve children in all 77 counties of Oklahoma, including patients from all over the world. Last year, the Jimmy Everest Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders treated more than 120 new patients and is actively following more than 400 patients with cancer. All funds raised through Children’s Hospital Foundation stay in Oklahoma so children will have access to exceptional pediatric specialists without having to leave the state.
